Various voluntary opportunities - Dunfermline & Kirkcaldy

As part of our Hand Picked project we are delighted to offer opportunities to volunteer with OnFife. Volunteering is a great way to up skill, learn a new skill or simply keep active in the labour market whilst you continue your search for paid employment. You can volunteer for a minimum of 4hrs per week and this could be split over two days if you wish.  Travel expenses can be covered if you are required to use public transport.

WW2 Project – Kirkcaldy Galleries

Working with a small team to look at World War II era newspapers and record notable events such as births, deaths, marriages and other interesting stories.  An interest in research is an advantage and you must have clear handwriting. This can be a fairly repetitive task but it is exceptionally interesting.

Welcome Host – Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries

It’s always nice to be greeted by a friendly face and this opportunity gives you the chance to be just that. You will greet visitors and assist them with general queries about the gallery and museum and also about what else Dunfermline has to offer! You should be familiar with Dunfermline town and have a cheery, friendly disposition.

Photographers – Dunfermline/ Kirkcaldy

If you have a passion for photography and would like to give something back to your local community, this could the opportunity for you.  You will be invited to capture the essence of wide ranging events throughout the year. You may opt just to photograph one event a month and that’s completely fine. You should have some experience of photography.
